John Carter
started organising steam fairs in 1974 at Blackbushe Hampshire to celebrate
the legendry great steam fair at Shottesbrooke park in Bershire some 10
years earlier. Because of the uncertainty of rides turning up at his oragnised
events John Carter bought his own set of gallopers. From that time John's
interest became centred on establishing his own traditional funafair, travelling
round English parks and village greens. Further additions to the fair in
recent years include the Octopus in 1994, the Jets in 1999 and a Dive bomber
ride in 2002.
